Kanaan is the young Norwegian power trio of Ask Vatn Strøm (guitars), Ingvald André Vassbø (drums) and Eskild Myrvoll (bass, synths), playing their signature blazing freeform psychedelia, drawing inspiration from krautrock and pre-fusion jazz rock.

They released the studio albums Windborne (2018), Odense Sessions and Double Sun (both 2020) on Danish label El Paraiso Records, as well as Live In Oslo (2021) on Hærverk Industrier, before signing with their current label Jansen Records, where they have issued Earthbound (2021), Diversions Vol. 1: Softly Through Sunshine (2022) and Downpour (2023). They have also contributed the side-long track “Beyond” to the compilation International Space Station Vol. 1 (2022) on Worst Bassist Records, also available digitally in an even longer version.

Ingvald André Vassbø will play drums for Motorpsycho on their European tour in October 2023.
