MoE is endlessly chasing the the root of the music and the music within the music. With close to 20 releases and countless tours and collaborations over most of the planet, MoE has been one of the most active bands on the Norwegian experimental music scene of all time.

With their previous cover versions of Sex Pistols’ «Anarchy in the UK», Fugazi’s «Shut The Door» and Black Sabbaths’s self titled track, they have surprised both punks, metal heads and noise fans. With Motorpsycho’s «The All Is One», they open another door. Motorpsycho is without doubt the most important and notable rock band in the history of Norwegian music. With more than three decades of production, their music reflects all the these years with everything from a grunge-ish attitude to pop and progressive rock.

When choosing a track to arrange for this task we knew right away that it was going to be A Capella arrangement, focusing fully on melody and harmony, and close to nothing on stoner riffing. Listening to the great choir masters of the Reinnesance like Palestrina, Hildegard Von Bringen, Josquin des Prez made us realise the grandiose style of the last albums of Motorpsycho would be a great link to these great composers. Lacking the ability to find a suitable choir to realise the musical idea, Guro Moe took the task in her own hands, adding at touch of DIY girl choir punk aesthetics to the recording.
